Top Moment 1: Morning Mediation Hike—Take Two
Having so thoroughly enjoyed starting my Friday morning with Garth Stevenson’s hike and mediation, I knew I wanted to doit one more time for my last day of practice at Wanderlust. This time, I brought along #SOCIALintheCITY friends Sara and Jeremy for the ride. I was curious if I would enjoy it as much the second time, knowing what to expect and having done it before. It was almost a continuation of the last adventure in the best way possible.

Top Moment 1: Lost Lake Hike
Given that it was only my second time ever in Whistler, I wanted to fit in at least one hike during my Wanderlust adventures. I decided that a hike out to lost lake and a quick wade in the water was the perfect way to start day 3 of my Wanderlust adventures. Signing up for a hike solo was a little intimidating for me, but I figured it would be a good challenge to step outside of my comfort zone.

Top Moment 1: Morning Meditation Hike
Suffering from a bad bout of indecision about how to spend my very first full morning at Wanderlust, I decided to ditch the yin class I’d signed up for and find a way to get outdoors. Reflections from Wanderlust Whistler – My First Yoga Festival // Written by Jeremy Vaughan

Anticipation. The one word that describes the build-up before my first Wanderlust Festival experience. I knew little of the festival other then it was full of yoga and meditation, but that is the great part about going into the unknown – you have no expectation of the experiences you are walking into. You have nothing to compare it to, it’s all totally new to you and your mind. I went into the festival with an open mind, one of wanting to learn and soak up as much as possible from this experience and put it into my daily life back in Vancouver. The setting was perfect: Whistler, BC. You are instantly lost in the mountains up there, with so much beauty surrounding your every possible move, my mind was already calmed in that nature setting.

Top 3 Moments from Thursday Day 1 of #WANDERtribe at Wanderlust Whistler 2015 // by Mara Falstein

Top Moment 1: The Arrival.

After a 5am wakeup call and a bleary-eyed road trip from Vancouver, Sara and arrived in Whistler village at 8am. While we were hoping to fit in an 8am yoga class, it was nice to have a bit more time to unwind and settle in. We checked in and—with an hour to kill before we could check into our lodging, Sara and I hit up Purebread. We got there fifteen minutes after it opened and were rewarded with baked goods fresh out of the oven and still warm. We enjoyed our baked goods sitting on the patio soaking it all in.
