Vancouver, BC, CA — U.T.F.L (Uwi Twins Fashion Label) is the latest creative endeavor of two extraordinary individuals: Reuben and Lévi Uwi. Escaping Rwanda and the horrors of genocide at age 7, the gifted twins settled in Canada and have gone on to become multi-talented entrepreneurs. Successful actors and architects of a previous fashion line, the Uwi Twins are the embodiment of their youthful, hip aesthetic.
U.T.F.L. marries sophisticated fashion trends with street cool. Taking inspiration from hip hop and house music, the vibrant line is relevant urban fashion at its best.
The U.T.F.L. inaugural S/S2014 collection is evenly divided between men’s and women’s apparel. Men’s tees, tops, shorts and pants employ bold color blocking, refined details and a hip hop attitude that speaks directly to its young urban customer. The women’s line showcases feminine, flirty dresses along with slim pants, high-waist shorts and a blazer. The look is elevated, but always youthful and fresh.
With suggested retail prices topping out at $120, and many pieces running between $40 and $60, the line is covetable, affordable and directional.
